I had sex with a man 6 weeks ago who's had a vasectomy- I also had sex with a man a few days later who hasn't - and I'm pregnant! I know vasectomy's can fail, but it's definitely the man's who's hasn't had one isn't it

It’s likely to be but the only way you’ll know is a DNA test; shame you can’t go on Jeremy Kyle anymore

DNA test if you're keeping the pregnancy and for the purposes of your health, get an STD check as soon as possible. Unless you used a condom both times and it broke?

I don't care that you slept with 2 people in 6 weeks. Sexual health is a thing though as it contraception, unless yours failed or you wanted to get pregnant.

Gazelda · 15/11/2022 13:05

No one can answer your question.

If you decide to go ahead with that pregnancy, you'll have to have a DNA

And, as previously suggested, you'd be wise to get a sexual health check.

Are you ok? Does the pregnancy cause you problems apart from the obvious?

Thekormachameleon · 15/11/2022 13:05

Why are you having unprotected sex with multiple men?

AnneLovesGilbert · 15/11/2022 13:07

If you used no contraception with either then it’s obviously more likely to be the one who hasn’t had surgery to remove his fertility.

Are you pleased? It sounds like you wanted to be pregnant so congrats.

To get pregnant?

There can be a difference between having had a vasectomy, and someone telling you that they've had one. (similarly, being on the pill vs being told that).

hlpm · 15/11/2022 13:38

No... he definitely has had it

Even if a man has had a vasectomy you should still insist on condoms, how do you know he doesn't have HIV, gonorrhoea, syphillis, clamidiya,

PorkingThread · 15/11/2022 14:57

I've seen this sort of behaviour on farms. It's much more likely to be the one who hasn't had the snip, but God only knows what diseases you're all going to end up with if you all carry on like this.

Bookworm20 · 15/11/2022 15:18

I'm just hoping the one who you know has definitely had the vasectomy isn't your husband, as that will be an extremely awkward conversation.
