Gift ideas for my DH

My husband will be 38 years old next week. He is one of those "do it all" dads. He's fantastic with our kids, and he's fantastic with everything. I'm looking for gift ideas for his upcoming birthday. He enjoys hiking with our daughter and dogs; he works as an engineer. He enjoys the simple things in life, such as steak, good garlic bread, and a pint of beer. I'm having trouble deciding what to get him because he isn't particularly materialistic.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Pair of jeans from Spokes, heartfelt card, photo album?

Arrange babysitting for a Sunday or Saturday, do a nice long walk together followed by lunch in his favourite pub?

Bottle of cologne
New good gloves for hiking
New bedsheets and underwear for both of you?
Massage oil

Ugg boot slippers or really good slippers

Crocs and a basket for the back of his car for after he has hiked? I got my dad a boot buddy as he loves running in the country side and he really appreciated it

Just thoughtful gifts really that suit his lifestyle and tell him how much he means to you

Also breakfast in bed!! Get a tray with legs on for him to be able to really enjoy it xx

Some kind of guided walk or hike he'd find interesting, followed by a beer tasting session at a local microbrewery?

@stopbeeping Thanks for your lovely ideas. Cosy Breakfast in bed is definitely on the list.

Beer tasting session is a good one, some microbreweries do beer brewing courses as well. There are also beer subscription boxes from places like Beer52.

Or if not, given his interests tend towards food and drink and not so much towards material things... I'd actually say spend your money on a really, really nice meal out. A restaurant a bit fancier than your usual, maybe somewhere known for its steak.

@gannett I really loved the idea or going of Microbrewery for beer tasting sessions . Thank you for your thoughtful suggestions

Has he already got a good Gore-Tex jacket, waterproof socks, good gloves and hat? That budget would allow a reasonable amount of quality hiking gear...
