How do you choose a counsellor and about how much does it cost ?
For those of you who have had it, had any of you actually discussed divorce and still got back together ? I think we might have gone too far to get back.

We went to the Relate website and literally just went with the one who could fit us in quickest.... we were in crisis at that point i would say.
We hadn't discussed divorce before we went - but we did end up divorcing in the end.
The Relate counseller turned out to be worth her weight in gold as an individual counsellor for me.

Go to the bacp website - they have a find a counsellor section. Look for someone who specialises in couples and has experience (ie not newly qualified).

Even if you've 'gone too far to go back', counseling can still be useful. It might lead you to a relatively smooth and peaceful separation because you've properly worked through your differences.

I really just wish I could flick a switch and he be gone. He’s a nice bloke, I just don’t want this any more, haven’t wanted it for a couple of years now.

we went to Relate, were interviewed and offered a counsellor to fit in with our commitments. Worth going

Can I bump this thread? Don't know where to start. Relate? Is it very expensive?

I'm also pensive that this will become a 'list everything that's wrong with (me)' and I'll keep quiet just to make things work.
