I have name changed for this. I only ask because today some Scaffolders/Builders working on my house and a couple of them were yummy. It got me to thinking about the type of men I fancy. My DH used to be a construction type and now works in an office. I still find him attractive but there is something about a sweaty builder type that just really catches my eye.

Anyone else?

I LOVE a tall strong man with dark but greying salt and pepper hair, darkish skin and big hands. And he must be able to dance and make me laugh. I do like a sweaty handsome builder however.

You weren't on the 'OOhh, young man!!' thread a while ago were you?

Better go, my dh is coming upstairs!

twospecialgirls · 29/01/2008 22:46

Oldenough I have TRAWLED through the trillions of chat threads, and can't find it! It was me and MamaG I think, going on about all the leering we do at young men. Very sad,but also very funny. I said I had been known to drive past a dishy man, say 'Phwoar!'an then realise I had a child strapped in the back

claricebeansmum · 30/01/2008 15:04

I loved it when we had builders in the house. Just made everything so much more pleasant when the view was soooooo good
...and they had a wicked sense of humour

claricebeansmum · 30/01/2008 15:06

Was that the thread where I mentioned my "look not touch" fettish for 6th formers with courier bags and glasses?! And then I was ridiculed....

expatinscotland · 30/01/2008 15:08

I don't care for suited blokes, office or business types in general.

I like lean, sinewy men who are tall and don't have chest or back hair.

Sazisi · 30/01/2008 15:13

I quite like DH in a suit (he works in an office, but usually opts for t-shirt and jeans combo), when he's looking all neat it makes me want to grab him and mess him up [blush}

MascaraOHara · 30/01/2008 15:15

..male..

Fireflyfairy2 · 30/01/2008 15:15

My dh is a builder.. @ anyone swooning over him...

He wouldn't even notice

My type is someone with kind eyes, someone who doesn't have to stop & think before offering to do stuff, someone who can make me laugh, someone who will make me feel safe.

claricebeansmum · 30/01/2008 15:16

A discerning woman than Macara?

Surely you have some...minimum standards??!!

Kathyis6incheshigh · 30/01/2008 15:17

I like men who can spell and lift heavy things.

noddyholder · 30/01/2008 15:17

My dp is a tattoed musician and I really fancy office/solicitor pinstripe types!

claricebeansmum · 30/01/2008 15:18

Interesting combination Kathy....

Fireflyfairy2 · 30/01/2008 15:18

Although I have a secret crush on a man I see most days. He wears a suit & tie. He is painfully shy, very very anal about small details & takes things to the nth degree. He's the type of man who will see a dripping tap & say "Oh, just let me get my spanner" Wheras dh will look at it for a week saying "I must fix that"

I think it's more the thought of disrupting his routine I fancy, rather than him.. IYKWIM.

MascaraOHara · 30/01/2008 15:20

Kathy - beggers can't be choosers lol

citylover · 30/01/2008 15:22

I also don't care for office types, business types (am surrounded by lawyers, judges etc) an exH was a suited academic and was always worried about getting his hands and clothes dirty. I think I had bigger biceps LOL

No what I really are like sharp minded (er witty), bright, masculine men, average height, dark hair, bit chunky, hairy chest - builders, electricians that sort of thing.

Bring em on 'cos I can't seem to find any around here.

In fact seriously where do you think you would find them. 40 ish!!
