What do you class as cheating?

Just wondering what everyone else's opinions are on what they class as cheating?

My DP thought that if you slept with someone that's classed as cheating but I think if your messaging another woman and your hiding it from your DP that's cheating...

What does everyone else think?

If you wouldn’t do it in front of your partner, wouldn’t tell your partner about it, you hide it from your partner or wouldn’t want them to find out it’s cheating/a betrayal/not respectful.

Inappropriately messaging people to having a full blown affair and all the bits in between

Also if you wouldn’t be happy with your partner doing/saying what you’re doing/saying that’s cheating/a betrayal/not respectful.

If it was the other way round, would your partner mind you doing with someone else what he’s doing?

If your partner is interested in someone else and treating them they way they should be treating you, and hiding that behaviour from you, then that’s cheating.

If you have to hide messages from your partner then you shouldn't be sending them and therefore you know what you are doing is wrong! Definitely counts as cheating!

Anything that I consider a mental shift. So an urge or want to kiss someone. A sudden desire for someone. Because that doesn't happen in an instant. It's something that builds and if you do nothing to stop it, then you're as good as cheating.

If you've agreed to be in a monogamous and trusting relationship then hiding messaging is cheating.

Lol @ watching porn. If that were the case, 90% of the male population would be cheating bastards. And a sizeable proportion of women too.

But if that's a boundary you've set in your relationship, it's fine to call it cheating.

In exactly the same way for some people a drunken kiss is fine and for others it's a dealbreaker.

Laugh all you like. Thats a line for me. If my OH crosses it, he knows my views on that industry and i'd also consider it cheating. Makes no difference who doesn't agree. Its what I think and have made him aware of that matters.
