Is it weird that me and my DP (together 8 months) are not friends on fb?

We started following each other on Instagram when we first met and we sue it to send each other memes etc

Never posted anything about our relationship so may give the impression he's still single. However, worth mentioning I've not posted anything about our relationship on my insta either

It was only earlier today when my friend mentioned something about fb and I said we're not "friends". She thinks that this is suspicious and probably means he's hiding something?? I've met his close family & friends irl but my friend thinks he may be keeping it separate to give the illusion of being single. This is based on the fact that he follows/is friends with a lot of females on both fb and insta

Until now I hadn't thought about it much as I don't use fb often. Equally, he could say I'd never sent him a friend request 🤷🏻‍♀️

Is this a red flag or my friend over analysing?

I'm def not the type to update my relationship status to "in a relationship", "single" etc and I don't post much (in general).

It's more what my friend said that I've been thinking about.

I checked out his fb profile before our 1st date (think most people do a quick nosey) then never thought.

However after my friend said to me this afternoon I've had another look and he is friends with a lot of girls. He then follows the same girls on insta.

I'm not usually an insecure person but I'm now thinking why would he follow all of them on both platforms but not me? I'm now the one over thinking (after not giving it a 2nd thought for the last 8 months)
