I have no idea.. can anyone add thoughts? Met a man (UK/Australian) 18 months ago online. He lied by 10 years about his age, professed to be British security services, ex UK SAS, lied about a past marriage, served time in the US (but he said for a ‘job’), mental health issues, now moved 2hrs plus travel distance away (it was 1-1-5hrs) for more security work the other side of London but wanted to continue weekend visits.I suspect he was a professional con man (he has great trouble going out properly) but he said otherwise. I have been an absolute mug and feel (finally) horrendous (which is probably my wake up call). He offered some interest, excitement and certainly affection but obviously can’t see a future so have finally drawn it all to a close. Need some reassurance I’ve done the right thing.. am not travelling 2 plus hours to see him with his history of lies. The novelty has sunk. Feeling depressed, I hope this fades soon. 😒 A fair warning here to other women perhaps also (now based in west London)

He's a WALT I think there is a website where their names can be checked out by the Royal Marines/SAS/Foreign Legion.

You've dodged a bullet my dear.

Yes, I did..left feeling quite empty unfortunately. Hope other women might read this and perhaps be warned if they meet an individual of a similar description.

I would listen to this podcast and feel grateful you dodged a bullet!

2 hrs travel is really not the issue here, the fact that he is utterly dishonest is. Surely you can see why you are better off out of this?

Of course. Got attached (unfortunately) over this time.
