How do I find a therapist

I'm so overwhelmed when I look online. I don't understand the differences in adverts such as level 7 psychotherapist vs counsellor etc. prices are similar for each thing.

I feel like I need to gain the strength to leave my marriage but feel like I can't both emotionally and financially. Need some help sorting through all the mess.

Hi,
I would suggest a relationship therapist.
So yes, a psychotherapist.
I have a wonderful one and she has helped me navigate the end of a long, difficult marriage.
Good luck

Thank you. Your one sounds great. I need to get some strength back in myself after being worn down for over a decade!

I can send you a message with details and area, if it helps.
Obviously depends on where you live.

Go on the BACP website and there's a find a therapist link. I searched by my postcode, and then looked at what the specialisms are for the ones it suggested. It's also got a list of the different types of therapy, if there's something you don't understand. (I didn't know what Adler was on my therapist's list.)
