How often do you see your friends?

I am early 40's a mum of 3 , busy job, husband very busy with work. Live an hour from London, close friends live all around the UK. Youngest is 5, oldest is early teens.
I see my 4-5 best friends from Uni once a year if we are lucky. I have lots of close school/uni friends I am in touch with on WhatsApp.
We never have friends to stay because life seems too busy - children have activities/school at the weekend etc . Similarly we feel too chaotic to plan to stay with friends.
I have more superficial friends from the school crowd who I see every week or two. But what about proper friends in the same country? How often do you see them

I‘m abut older so my kids are all teenagers. I see my best friends at best once a year because we live so far apart now and life is so busy.
The more superficial friends I have met along the way ( school gate etc ) do become more important in your life at various stages but never really replace the best friends, even if you only see them once a year.

I probably get to meet up with an old friend once a month but it won't be the same person. I see each of my old friends twice a year probably. I moved far away. I have one close friend that I see every few weeks but that's because we ended up accidentally living in the same area.

Thread inspired me to reach out to a newer local friend and suggest a meetup this weekend.

I have one group I see a couple of times a year. But others who are more local I see every couple of weeks.

Meeting with a group who are scattered isn't easy at all.

My closest friends, the ones who go way back to childhood, there’s a group of six of us, I see them every 2 months or so. We’d all like it to be more but it’s the logistics. We live scattered across two counties so not hideous but far enough and we have have children.
I have two very close ‘mum friends’ who have little’uns the same age as mine so we do baby groups together twice a week.
Then I have more casual groups who I might see every few months, altho sadly this is often because we’re at a wedding or birthday or other event rather than having organised anything. Time soon goes by.

My close friends- living in same city probably every 2/3 months these days.
Living 250 miles away - maybe 1 or 2 times a year.
Living overseas .. recently its once every 2-3 years. There's work friends too, but I don't see them out of work.

I have quite a few different friendship groups and then individual friends outside of those groups. Some friends I see a couple times per year or every year or two, others I see 3-4x per month. I’d say I see a friend a couple times per week most weeks, not always the same ones. For example in the next week I’m seeing a close friend Sunday, a different close friend Saturday, going out with a group tonight for a meal and then off to an event in another city next weekend. Some weeks a bit quieter!
