Being interested in someone after a long marriage.

There is a dad at my child's club that always makes an effort to chat to me etc. I feel like there is a mutual attraction there.

My question is I've no idea if he's married etc and don't really have any way of finding that out. In my pre married days I would have been direct and gave my number etc.

Would saying I feel there is a vibe is it mutual be way to direct

If your kids get on, invite them to a park play date, keep talking to him, see he mentions a partner, or invite to the park and say would you and your partner like to meet us such and such park if the weather is nice, worst case he is attached but you'll have some new friends! If he's single then he gives him a chance to get to know you better.

What minticecream said is a good suggestion (plus, if it turns out he HAS got a wife/partner it’s not quite so awkward (for him, or you) at the kids club..

I would honestly if it were me say "I feel like we've got a bit of a vibe, are you single?"

If he isnt, or isn't interested, youll know upfront. Nothing wrong with being direct, carpe diem and all that.

Have you tried to find him on Facebook? if so, then look at his pics or his friends list.

Otherwise just keep talking to him and maybe ask him if the reason his wife doesn’t come is because of work or something.
