When to try dating again

My 9 year marriage ended 3 months ago. When is too soon to start dating? I don’t want anything serious but it might be nice to see what’s out there I guess. Or am I being stupidly naive in thinking now is a good time?!

I would give it 6-12 months. When you feel happy and relaxed and are used to your new life. Otherwise you run the risk of ending up with someone unsuitable. I started dating a year after a split and even that was too soon as we were still living together and I dated someone that I wouldn’t date now. My boundaries were still skewed . When I started dating the following year it was much better.

That is unless the split was amicable and on both sides and there are no issues.
