Getting back with an ex

Has anyone ever got back with an ex years down the line? Say if you was both still single. Any success stories?

I got back with my ex but it didn’t last. The same problems were still there so eventually it blew up again. The second split was permanent as we have now divorced. Every relationship is different. My only advice is, there has to be honesty and trust, without those someone always gets hurt. I wish you all the best.
