I have a little crush on an older guy at work and today in the break room I was chatting with him and some other colleagues. I mentioned that I found an older celebrity quite attractive and the guy I like laughed and said 'maybe there's chance for me yet' and then left the room! While I haven't given much context, do you think he likes me or was just joking around?

What a ridiculous thing to say. Men (like women) are not all the same. Some are confident, some are shy, some are players, some aren't, etc etc

You're work colleagues so he may well be a little nervous because the consequences could be serious if he oversteps the mark. Enjoy the flirtation and see where it takes you

OP - you are 30. Still young and plenty of time to meet someone closer in age who would make a good life partner. Especially if you want kids.

18 year is a huge age difference.

At nearly 50 he is still fairly ok. But very soon he will be slowing down, and becoming/acting as an older (old) man.
Such age gap always catches up with people.
Trust me - you will not want to be with a man 18yo ears older than you as a 40-50yo woman.

Enjoy your flirtation, why not. Just please - do not stop dating and hopefully you’ll meet someone of your own generation to have kids with.
