Am I crazy for getting upset if my boyfriend tells me he has someone else then says it is only a joke.
It's not the first time he has said if either!

You do know you are not obliged to tolerate this, try to understand why he does it, or spend any more time wondering about it than it takes to tell him "ok, you're nasty, I'm dumping you"?

Having said that I can think of a few times when a partner and I have been fooling around and enjoying a laugh and one of us will say " I can always find someone better". That was light hearted and I didn't take offence and neither did she
