My ex doesn’t bother with our kids and hasn’t seen them in 18 months, but yet he still insists on texting ME happy birthday?! It’s my birthday today and he sent me a text saying happy birthday. I don’t understand why he does this when he doesn’t even bother with our children is it just to remind me he still exists? And no I don’t have any feelings for him I just don’t understand someone’s mind frame that they won’t bother to see their children but will text me on my birthday. Has anyone else experienced an ex doing this?

Sounds like the kind of thing a narcissist would do. Block and delete and don’t give him any more time or thought.

Hes deliberately messing with your head. And its worked. Use email only for any contact information regarding the children and block him.
