Me and my partner have been together 2ish years and we have two children together.
Everyone she hurts me (accidentally) she really laughs
I said you're teaching by the kids it's okay to hurt someone
She says I'm over reacting

Am I?
I need some advice
Thank you

Well it’s not normal to laugh when you hurt someone you love, and kids learn by example so no, I don’t think you are over reacting.

Blowyourowntrumpet · 15/10/2022 22:10

What does she do to hurt you?

Are you sure she hurts you by accident?
Seems odd that she hurts you regularly..

GrazingSheep · 15/10/2022 22:18

Of course it’s not okay, it’s horrible. Two children in two years?!

My oldest is from a previous relationship.

Maybe it's just her way of defusing tension.

I think the type of laugh matters. I mean if it's a nervous laugh that's totally different to a laugh where she is genuinely gleeful.

I've been with DH for over 35 years. He has never once hurt me and certainly wouldn't laugh if he did so accidentally.

Your DP is being weird at best and malicious at worst.
