38 with a one year old, single. Is a new partner and further family possible? Doesn’t feel like it

I’m low. Feel trapped. Sad. Always wanted a family in the sense of a partner dynamic. I am lonely even though I have friends and go out and do things. Nobody to come home to, to support me. And who will want to when I’m nearly 40 with a young child. Just feeling shit today.

Similar to you just split from long term abusive partner and would to love to have a child in loving partnership. Genuinely sucks that I’m too old.

My school mate had her first kid alone at 40. The father just bolted, 36 weeks in. She was so desperate, so sad and scared, just like you today.

Her little boy is now 2 years old and he was not an easy baby!!! She's been with her lovely new fella for 10 months and they are happy happy happy. He has a 5 year old with his ex wife.

@Mamato3boysand2dogs thanks so much that’s genuinely give me a glimmer of hope. I felt like that in my pregnancy it was awful. He didn’t speak to me from 30 weeks. Still feel sick when I remember that time and what he put me through.
