Should I buy it?

I really want to buy my DH the ps5 for Christmas, He works so hard for our family does compressed hours so he can do overtime (time and half) on his extra day off.
he’s taken on the bulk of caring for the DC at times whilst I have been very unwell over the last few years.
we can comfortably afford it we have a good amount of disposable income after savings and all bills.
I know we are very lucky in that sense he would never buy it himself but apart from his season ticket for his team his only downtime is his ps4 a couple of times a week.
He has got a bit more obsessive about saving recently which is understandable with the recent situation.
He would never question my spending and never has I haven’t worked for a while.
I just want to treat him using my own small Income but I know he would think and say the money would be better put towards the DC or savings. For reference i bought his ps4 for his birthday a good five or so years ago.
I dont want him to feel guilty for having a expensive present much more than the DC will be receiving

Yes, buy him it.

And if he protests, the best way to shut him up is to kiss him!

Then tell him it’s a thank you for being the wonderful person he is.

Yes - definitely treat this lovely man of yours, and make sure you tell him how special he is.

Of course, you can afford it and he would love it! He sounds like a lovely man and deserves a treat.

Yep, buy it, wraps it in gorgeous paper and watch his face on Christmas morning.
It sounds as though he really deserves it!

I think it's lovely you want to treat him!

But what I would say is - does he want one? Because tbh if he's only an occasional gamer and already has a PS4, it just might not be worth it.
