Boredom and loneliness when single

How do you deal with this? I’ve been on my own for 6 years now almost and this is still something I struggle with, unable to date and can’t join meet up groups etc as I’m a single parent. Anyone else found a way to overcome the loneliness? It’s stuff like this that makes me miss my ex even though I really wouldn’t want to be with him I miss there being another person here to talk to.

Is there anyway you could get a baby sitter or a trusted friend
Do you have hobbies ? Work! ?
I'm newly single and it's kind of still a novelty.. but I imagine I will feel lonely in the future when the reality hits me
So following this for any advice :)

I joined apps for parents
Made a few friends
Have a look at FROLO which is specifically for single parents

I’ve been single for 6 years so not a novelty anymore 😣 I miss having someone who cares about me and someone to talk to, I’ve thought about joining apps but it’s not the same as everything in my life revolves around kids already. Can’t afford babysitters.

You've managed so well to not give into the loneliness and get back with your ex. Don't waste the last 6 years by doing that.
This is exactly what stops me from being as strong as you.
There must be something you enjoy doing to channel your energy into to keep you occupied (when you're not caring for your children)?
