We currently have a 10 week old baby and my partners work is getting too much. I understand there is a lot of responsibility on his side for providing for us, however he is currently up at 4/4:30 am and not home until gone 7pm. He’s then usually on the laptop for a bit too. It was our first night out this Saturday which was much needed, however he has now come down unwell, most probably from such long hours and lack of sleep. It’s extremely frustrating, I am currently doing everything, cooking, night feeds, washing to see my partner for an hour or so before he’s fast asleep. I say to him he’s working too many hours but he just says he needs to in order to be successful..?

Has he always been like this or is it just since the baby was born. I'd be suspicious of using work as an excuse to opt out of family life .
