Emergency

I will try to be as short as possible so apologies if it seems a bit chaotic.

Me and my partner ( already ex I guess) have a 18m DS and since he was born he had changed so much.

Lately it has gotten so much worse. We argue non stop, he’s been verbally abusive to both of us ( not physical abuse ).

I always tried to fix things hoping he’s gonna change because of his son and so on but I guess that’s useless.

So basically I had enough and it came to a point where I don’t want my child to grow up in a toxic family.

Now he’s basically saying that we are both stressing him out too much and he don’t want us to be here which is fine because I can’t stay like this too much longer too. We are renting and because I lived in with him the tenancy agreement is on his name and we both me and DS have to leave.

I found there is a emergency housing available from council of you are at the risk and they can put you either in a flat, hostel or B&B although from what I read with a small child there is bigger possibility for a flat with no shared rooms.

Has anyone had any experience with this emergency housing? How does it work and how quickly are you likely to be moved there? I will give them a call in a minute just wanted to hear a maybe real life experience.
Unfortunately my family lives abroad so there’s no one I could stay longer term.

Thank you and again apologies if it sounds chaotic. I’m just confused and hurt and scared.
