Hi me and my boyfriend have been together almost 2 years, I caught him on dating apps a few months ago to which he lied and said he only used for 20 mins and last week I caught him sleeping with his work colleague on the 21 aug and last Saturday. He then came to see me Sunday and slept with me. I found out Monday morning.

he denied it, said it was only once but because I got in contact with the woman she told me a lot more and that’s how I found out it was on 2 occasions.
he keeps telling me he doesn’t have no feelings for her and it was just a jump to the side and abit of fun.
he is now saying I’m his, im the only love of his life, he loves me, he’ll marry me one day and that he is incredibly sorry and that he will win me back.

im so angry and hurt and it’s makes me even angrier because I can do nothing but accept this has happened.

He's shagging around after only 2 years (not saying it's ok after longer but there might be more to tip the balance towards trying to work through it if you felt so inclined). He interestingly tried to justify as only a bit of fun on the side. He therefore thinks it's fine to have sex with other people on the side if there are not heavy emotions involved. Nothing suggests he has changed that view so it would keep happening. If you also agree this then great, have an open marriage. If you don't, as your post describes, then let this creep know in no uncertain terms that that isn't love as you want to experience it, and that you don't want to hear from him again. Take good care of yourself, can you get friends around you over the weekend?

@kamilarandon why on earth would she trust the boyfriend ever again? He said he did it for fun. Running about like a dog with two dicks. Only someone who loves embarrassing themselves would stay with such a loser.

Discard the trash, get tested for STDs.

It infuriates me when me say "it didn't mean anything". I don't give a fuck whether you think it meant anything or not. It means something to me, and as the cheating person, it isn't up to you to dismiss that and say it didn't mean anything.

I know they mean it didn't mean anything to them. But I don't care whether it meant anything to them; they are not the important person with the important feelings once they cheat. Fuck off with thinking I care whether it meant anything to you Angry

As @HappyAsASandboy says, there’s no such thing as meaningless sex with someone other than your partner. If this woman meant nothing, why didn’t he just have a wank? I mean - imagine throwing away your whole relationship for something that “meant nothing”. What kind of a twat does that?

Being in a relationship doesn’t stop other people being attractive but it’s generally harmless if not acted upon. As soon as it’s acted upon, it has meaning.

Don’t gamble your emotional well being by spending your life with someone who so willingly throws himself at a woman, colleague or others, then tells you you are his world, common that is the easiest sentence to say to manipulate you. To keep you where he wants you but you wait if you stay he will do this again and again, and with every revelation, he will keep lying to you to keep his comforts. It’s not love. Sounds like it when he is luring you back but it’s comfort for him. Dump him. You need to know your worth because he sure as hell doesn’t

CaptainMum · 23/09/2022 21:03

I'm glad you have the self-respect to dump him. The alternative is to share him. Awful. At least you've found out and can pursue a life of dignity and find true love.

He’s trash, bin him off op.
