I need to divorce but need help

So I have adhd and struggle very much with things like this.

I need to divorce my husband. Weve lived apart for a while now. He has drug and financial issues and I know I need to divorce to protect myself financially.

I've heard that the divorce itself doesn't seperate assets. That you need to do this separately.

My husband and I have no shared assets, bank accounts or kids.

Would someone be able to hand hold and help?

Whilst the divorce itself can be done online relatively cheaply and simply, there is still a need to protect potential future earnings/ pension etc. There are solicitors who offer 30 mins free advice so that you can get some idea of where to start. Given your situation, it shouldn’t end up to complicated or costly. This is just one example but Google will find you more in your area. Always good to try to get recommendations for a solicitor who specialises in divorce near you also www.weightmans.com/services/family/divorce-and-separation/

As @Jamboree01 said - it’s best to get some legal advice so that the financial and asset position is properly documented and protected. Even if you have to pay a bit now, it could spare you a huge amount of cost and pain in the future.
