Not sure where to put this.

I've been character assassinated several times on posts and I wonder what it is?

"Deliberately causing hurt to others" pretty much covers it for me.

All the way from actual murder, down to making shitty comments on threads to intentionally upset others.

That's a sliding scale, obviously 😂 You don't go to prison for being a twat on mumsnet. Otherwise I'd be banged up years ago!

Deliberately hurting others on purpose and not caring. Plus physically hurting others too. Being mean for no reason.

Tell yourself it's not personal, it's the internet.

There are thousands (millions?) of us here. You can't have offended everybody....can you?

There are many reasons someone could be deemed as a terrible person. Selfishness, lying, Narcissistic behaviour, cruelty, violence to name but a few. Any one of which directed at others.

Taking a tough love approach doesn’t tend to go down well when people who are asking advice on here can be in quite a fragile place

being patronising

coming across like your way is the only way, quickly jumping to conclusions

the above doesn’t necessarily mean you are a bad person!! Just on here it won’t go down very well!

what sort of things have been said that you have been doing?
