I don't want to tell anyone in real life and I don't quite want to tell my boyfriend yet but I am head over heels in love. I left a highly abusive marriage and by chance struck something up with an old friend. It's not an easy setup, we live in different places and both have kids, both have been hurt.

But I am head over heels doolally in love with him, and I just had to tell someone!

No I won't. That's why I had to say it here. Together about six months, but friends falling in love for a lot longer.

How lovely. You deserve to feel happy. If you've suffered and survived an abusive relationship you may struggle with vulnerability. I know
I did. I felt the same about my DP
but stuck my neck out and said it one day. He immediately said it back. Have either of you dropped any hints?xx

Thanks everyone! Yes, you're right @totallyoutnumbered - it makes me feel in danger to be vulnerable because it's in the zone that most of the abuse happened/began too. I am trying to go slowly and trust my feelings again.
