Hi. Looking for some advice. I was having a nosey on my partners Facebook this morning. And his news feed is flooded with ads for dating sites and live video chat sites.
I have never came across these adds on his Facebook news feed before. I counted 15 ads at least while scrolling through his news feed.
AIBU to think he has been looking at things he shouldn't be?

Yep, just flicked onto Facebook and two of the very first things on my feed were ads for "Meet My Age" and "Match".

I have not been on a dating site for years. But I have been discussing them on WhatsApp today.

This doesn't happen .

This. Your phone can’t listen into you but what it does do is over time a profile of us is built up, using data from all over the internet - it’s one big breadcrumb trail essentially - it’ll even work out what people you talk to/contact Google, buy etc so it can tailor adverts accordingly.

based on my knowledge of this. Id say it doesn’t necessarily mean he’s looked at these sites today or even recently but it might be part of his online profile if he’s done it in the past?
