Enlightening article about online dating

I'm just reading this. Article about how OLD dehumanises people and posits the theory that men see women they meet in this way as an extension of a mobile phone and not a real person.

It is from the Daily Mail but don't let that put you off, nothing rightwing about it. It's well worth reading.

I've just read it (busy day at work 😁) and I agree with a lot of what was said although hopefully my OLD days are behind me. I've never had a dick pic tho!

Gosh. It's so scientific, and not anecdotal at all.

Lots of people meet partners via online dating and are in very happy relationships. I'm one. It's just a skewed article written by people with bad experiences. You could write the same about 'Meeting at a party' or 'meeting at a wedding'. People have crap relationships and break up, regardless of where/how they meet.

I also found it insightful - especially for the DM!

but what’s the solution beyond ‘meet people normally’ ??
