So I've just joined Tinder and I've been chatting to a nice chap for a few days. Started really well, arranged a date for next week. Chatting quite a lot over the weekend. This evenings message exchange:

Him 'what are you up tonight'

Me 'just sorting kids for bed, free to chat after if you like?

Him 'I've just got chores to do '

Me: 'ok no worries'

That was neatly 2 hours ago. What do you think, brush off?

Yep

He was checking to see if you're up for the ride this evening. You're not, so he has decided not to spend more time chatting.

Or his has chores to do?

You’re busy, he’s busy. You can pick up the conversation tomorrow.

Nice of him to weed himself out for you I suppose.

Brush off? By who? You? Or him?

I’d have put “okay no worries, chat tomorrow”

Maybe not he's just messaged.

Maybe he thought you were brushing him off.

You'll drive yourself crazy if you overthink every text.

He thought you were busy so that's why he took two hours to respond.
I wouldn't worry in a couple of hours, you just leave it to them if you last asked a question.

Do you think there should of been another response within them 2 hours?
