perhaps they will turn up. did you lose them on a night out?

lazarou · 22/01/2008 11:00

Check pockets, washing basket, pillow cases, duvets, behind cupboards, in the car

Where else now.....

Disenchanted · 22/01/2008 11:01

Yes, but not a wild one, a nice calm one! lol and they came home with me, i have a big box of cosmetics and stuff and they went in there (i think) I know i took them off in the bedroom,

claricebeansmum · 22/01/2008 11:01

I have done this so often.

All but once my jewels turned up.

Can you think why the necklace is there but the ear-rings are not? Take the necklace off before bed, leave in ear-rings, take them off in bathroom on way to shower, but the phone rang and.....try to think back which means you need to stop panicing

Disenchanted · 22/01/2008 11:03

Well Im tidying out the bedroom now so if im ever gonna find them itll be today,

wish me luck

OP posts:
southeastastra · 22/01/2008 11:05

Something is lost
And can't be found

tictacto · 22/01/2008 11:10

Lent me, not borrowed.

Repeat after me three times and you will find them.

I do this all the time. It's when you don't think about it for a split second that they will appear.

Make a cuppa and eat some chocolate.

Hope you find them son.

Disenchanted · 22/01/2008 11:11

Im not your son! lol

TigerFeet · 22/01/2008 11:14

check the hoover bag

it's really stressful when this happens - I lost my engagement ring not so long ago and when dd said "I didn't put it in my mouth Mummy!" I went into full on panic mode.

It was on the floor in the kitchen where it had been knocked off the worktop where I'd left it when I was doing the washing up.

You need to retrace your steps from the last place you definitely remember having them.

tictacto · 22/01/2008 11:14

Are you not? Oh balls I lent him my jewellery last night to go moshing and he still hasn't returned them.

Balls again.

Twiglett · 22/01/2008 11:17

do you have anyone under the age of 6 who may well have borrowed them to play dress-up?

you need to check the thieving little beggars children too

you will find them

tictacto · 22/01/2008 11:18

PMSL at marmite snack.

partypoop · 22/01/2008 11:26

Make sure you ask your dh! I was ranting and crying and panicing when I lost my engagement ring once. As dp's do,I was ignored until I found it in the display cabinate and he turned around and said oh yeah I found it and popped it in safe. Sorry I forgot!!!!!!

Disenchanted · 22/01/2008 11:35

It was actully over a month ago,

so i cant even do that,

i know i took them off in the bedroom, possibly put them on the bedside table,

then ive moved the necklace (and presumably) the earring to the 'cosmetics numk box'

OP posts:
lazarou · 22/01/2008 11:45

Have you stripped the bed and checked inside the duvet cover and pillowcases fully? Have you looked under the bed and between the bed frame and the mattress?
Check through clean washing you have already put away.
Check outside as well on the path, in the grass, check your purse as well and bag. Check everything again.

Disenchanted · 23/01/2008 02:01

OMG...

this is so freaky!!

I just went to bed and was lay there and suddenly thought of this baking tin I have in the cupboatd and when my mum FIRST lent me the earring i was in the kitchen to put them with the necklace in the cupboard sat in this tin.

So i just got up and went downstairs and they werent in the tim ( I knew they werent as i had worn them since they were put in there.)

So I climbed up on the counter and I swear the counter broke!! It ploped down and was being suppoerted by the dishwasher and the washing machine but as it broke i grabbed at the shelf inside the broken cupboard and knocked 2 mugs out of it, one fell on the counter and one fell on the floor and smashed...

and the FECKING EARRINGS WERE IN IT!!!

that is bloody freaky!!

It was a old 'world cup' mug on the top shelf that I wouldnt have looked in for a million years!!

Am freaked, but soooo happy!!!!
