I went to a gig tonight. Alone. Was ok hanging out by myself. Bumped into a man at the bar, chatting about the band. I ended up hanging out with him during the gig. He seemed to like me, his friend wasn’t impressed. Gave me half of his beer, kept “checking” me, if that makes sense.
And at the end I offered him my number, and then he’s got kids and oh I don’t know blah blah. I just said “Well no is fine.”
it’s just frustrating. I am trying OLD and it’s become replulsive. I just want to rant into the void.

Sorry your evening was disappointing, OP. I hope the band was good, at least. I've never tried OLD but it sounds like a minefield. Meeting real people in places is still a better bet, in my opinion. Better luck next time.

The band were smashing, I have to say. So good. In fairness, when I walked off he shouted “Brice” and gave me a hug and wished me safe home. I don’t think he was a bad man. I’m quite an independent woman, and yet keep waiting for something to happen.

I'm guessing that might be because his wife/dp was at home with the kids, and his mate felt uncomfortable about him chatting you up.
