I am part of a community group and put a post on to ask if there were others in the area. A guy has messaged me and on the same day he has said do I want to meet him in the middle on Tuesday. Is this too quick to meet someone? I have not had anyone ask that quick before.

Is he a long-standing active member of the community group? Or just a chancer who saw your post and is trying his luck?

What was your reason for joining the group and asking if anybody local? I think it makes a bit of a difference as this sounds a bit date like. Does seem a bit soon either way if you know nothing about this person.

I don't really get what the group is for, is it for a hobby or just for meeting people locally for friendships or dates?

He's certainly keen but if that's the purpose of the group, to arrange in person meetups, then why not do so sooner rather than later?

Can you see any of his previous activity on the group to see whether he's an active user or might just be an opportunist when a woman appears?

Main thing is to meet somewhere safe and let someone know what's happening etc.

@Animalism The group is for people all into the same hobby. He is making it a date as no-one is going. He seems a chancer as he put 'love' reactions to 2 women's introduction profiles yesterday. It is a a group for friends but can lead to dating.
