An you accidentally unblock on WhatsApp

Relationship ended Jan. he cheated them ghosted and blocked me. Went on WhatsApp this morning and his picture and last seen are visible. Is there anyway this was done accidentally? Phone update , new phone? I blocked him and then did the newest update and he is still showing as blocked.

delete his number form your phone then he will disappear if your WhatsApp unless he still has your number then he can still message you but it’ll show as the phone number rather then Jim (or whatever his name is)

No when you update your block list remains.

He unblocked you, maybe that's why you can see him, if you've blocked him then it will be in your blocked list.
