I am not sure if i have posted this is the correct topic but we will try.
so back in May i was attacked by my ex, we weren't together at the time, we broke up 2 months prior and he came to my home, forced entry and done his thing basically.
I retracted my statement, stupid i know, there is so much to this story. But recently i put it back in and i changed it, in the beginning i wasn't completely honest about what happened, tried to stupidly protect him from going to prison. The closer it gets to the trial I have been getting worried about him getting away with it and being able to come back to where i live.
I got told that as I have changed it, it may be seen as "an unreliable witness" as it is basically his say against mine, they did say there is a lot of circumstantial evidence. I'm just really worried that me changing it and adding more will get it thrown out and im....well...scared about what could happen if he gets away with it, also if he finds out i changed my statement and added more to it....im sure he will be pretty pissed off.
Has anyone been through this before? has anyone reinstated a statement and had it carry on to trial or thrown out?
Thank you ladies xx
