Did you get back together with someone for the long run after a horrific break up?

I’m not posting because I’m in this situation. My parents did this. My dad was an alcoholic, smashed the place up etc before I was here. They broke up. Two years later he got in touch a changed man and they’ve been married 28 years. But he was a monster before then and caused a lot of distress.

I did after a five year separation but not divorced. He was a narcissist etc etc.
It was hell on earth being under the same roof again so I shortly left again & then eventually divorced.
Leopards don’t change their spots but we remained “friends” until he died in 2013.

What has put this at the forefront of your mind, 28 years later?

gtreTeaa · 18/08/2022 11:50

@PetalParty its their anniversary and I’m waiting for a dentist appointment. Does that pass your policing?!

@gtreTeaa that was rude. I don't think @PetalParty meant it that way.

Chill out.

@PetalParty yes, I’m sorry if it wasn’t intended that way!
