Is it ok to rely on maintenance ? He’s employed with NHS and as a bare minimum calculator says 480 if he’s paying 40k into pension which I doubt.

I only have 10k savings. My mortgage is 950 a month.

salary will be cut to 48k soon.

I’ve never lived like this and feel incredibly stressed. I won’t have anyone else to rely on with newborn

I don't completely understand all of your post, but a lot of people rely on child maintenance to live.

in so worried, ex won’t talk so looks like I have to second guess all this

I'm afraid it depends on your ex-partner - some will do the right thing and pay, and some will try not to.
