Did having a baby help your depression or make it worse?

I have a history of depression that’s usually manageable by work and being busy. I’ve not taken taken pills but offered them lots.

Ia there any chance my mental health will improve/stay the same rather than get worse? Suddenly worried now ex has left and I will be alone.

It's really hard to say. It can change your hormone levels which can be positive or negative in terms of how you feel. Having a baby is amazing but tiring and stressful. It sounds like it would be sensible to have some support strategies in place. Have you tried counselling? , I found CBT helped a lot. Also hypnotherapy if you can afford it. I did a mindfulness course and took up meditation. Have you got a support network?
