He told me he would pay me for sex

Hello
I’ve recently have been seeing a guy, we’re exclusive and I really really like him.

Recently we have slept together, and he was texting me today saying he would pay me to do that again. He said me being on top was amazing and he would pay a specific amount for me to do today. I feel yuck, my friend has said I’m being fussy but I feel like it means he’s done it before?

I'd have dumped him there and then.

Either he uses sex workers and is trying to establish that sort of relationship (yuk, no chance)
OR
That is a joke in spectacularly poor taste and he has some serious issues in the way he views women. (again, no thanks)

I'd tell him to crawl back into his sewer. 🙁

It was a weirdly specific offer (£130) I’m not sure whether to be offended….
Maybe it was a joke but the first time we had sex and that’s what you can come up with

I think only you can know. It's possible it was a joke or an attempt at a compliment "I'd pay good money for that".

It seems very odd that he'd offer money for something you'd already done and presumably are/were happy to do again, so it seems likely that he was joking to me.

Shock

I'd be ending things immediately!

Narwhalelife · 02/08/2022 14:59

Would give me the ick I think unless I was sure it was an odd/ clumsy compliment ?

Narwhalelife · 02/08/2022 15:00

Sorry just seen he offered you an amount - yeah that’s not a joke - and I would be offended for £130!

MrsWooster · 02/08/2022 15:00

Run away.

Oh. Cross Post. No, get away from that one.

PankhurstismySuffregette · 02/08/2022 15:01

He’s deffo paid for sex in the past with that specific comment and amount. Not normal banter is it? Yuck. Move on.

Onlyhereforthebatshitneighbours · 02/08/2022 15:01

Can we stop excusing shit male behaviour as a joke?!

Darlissima · 02/08/2022 15:02

Possibly he find the idea of paying you a turn on? Big no from me.

SpidersFuckOff · 02/08/2022 15:10

Dow isn't sound like a clumsy compliment at all, it wasn't a general "that was so good I'd pay for it" in the op he's offered a specific amount of money to have sex that way today, that sounds like a transaction and not badly worded flattery.

I'd be running for the hills. If anything, you aren't being fussy enough if you're even contemplating continuing the relationship, unless you want to be a sex worker then crack on and take his money but it sounds like you don't want to be a sex worker.

It actually sounds like he'd just offer to pay you whenever he wants sex a certain way.

Musti · 02/08/2022 15:14

Sorry, I didn’t read it properly. A specific amount and today. That would make me block him. Yuck

easyday · 02/08/2022 15:16

Well if he thinks you'd want paying to do it again then he doesn't see you as more than someone willing to sell sex.
I'd text back saying you thought you had a romantic relationship, not a business one so it's a no and a good bye from you.

AgentJohnson · 02/08/2022 15:23

Er no. He thinks him saying he would pay you for sex is a compliment. Move on already, no good can come of you spending more time with this creep.

MintyGreenDreams · 02/08/2022 15:24

Take the money.Dont have sex with him then block him.

Sandra1984 · 02/08/2022 15:32

Wait… so you’re already exclusive with a guy and only had sex with him once?

that’s what I find cringey. More than him offering money for sex.

Definitely I'd be ending things here.

That's a really sick joke.

Sandra1984 · 02/08/2022 15:34

Ask him for 300 hundred, 130 is shit.

I think this was a really bad joke. It would have been more obvious if he’d said “my god, that was incredible, I’d pay a million pounds to do that again!” And instead he absolutely fluffed it and made it sound like it could be a genuine offer.

I think I’d give him another chance but be on the lookout for anything else dodgy.

DorothyZbornakIsAQueen · 02/08/2022 15:37

£130 is oddly specific. And fucking cheap!

That would make me feel a little bit weird, I have to say.

What did he treat you like during sex?

Sunshineona · 02/08/2022 15:38

I’d text him “Why the hell are you offering me money for sex? You do realise that’s calling me a prostitute? That is such a turn off it’s unbelievable. It’s over.”

Branleuse · 02/08/2022 15:41

Thats a big red flag. Block him. Hes clearly someone who not only uses prostitutes, but thinks all women will prostitute themselves for him. Gross

Margot78 · 02/08/2022 15:42

FilePhoto · 02/08/2022 14:48

Mind you, my ex also said my BJs were so good he'd pay for them. He didn't mean he would literally pay me though. Should have bloody charged the bastard Wink
