When I was 6 my mother left to set up home with another man. For months. My dad was
extremely abusive and she left me and my sister alone with him. It was frightening. She finally came and got us 6 months later.
i am only realising now she abandoned us but she doesn’t see anything wrong in what she did.
Now have kids and can’t imagine doing that. She is an awful grandmother and does nothing to help me, when her mother had us for weeks on end in the summer to help her. It seems one sided, I run her around and do so much but she doesn’t seem to want to spend time with her grandkids.
am I asking too much or is she extremely selfish?
