Has anyone used plenty of fish just for finding friends? The questions it asks at the beginning says are you looking for friendships, but then goes on to ask further questions that you have to answer regarding more romantic involvement!

Yeah, "friend", the men on there have a different view of female friends.

I would go for one of the dedicated "social" apps rather than POF; less chance of a grey area

We became slightly more than friends!

Maybe it's a sign of my age but using a dating app to meet friends seems a bit odd to me.

I don't know where you live but most towns and cities of any size have online social clubs that you can easily join and do the sort of events where you will meet potential friends - drinks, meals, quizzes and so forth

Seems a more likely avenue to me

Bumble bff would be more reliable. My cousin used it when she moved to Inverness and met some lovely girls xx

POF ime is a bit of a cesspit these days.

Thanks everyone I’ll try Bumble :) it’s just other female friends I’m looking for, as over the years I’ve drifted from my old friends we all kind of went our separate ways, then with kids and work etc never seemed to be time for friendships!! So going to try online, even if it’s just an odd message here and there :) just nice to have another female to chat to even if online. I sound a right Billy no mates don’t I?! 😂😂
