Reporting an ex to a dating app...

Would you report your ex to a dating app if you seen them on one lying about something? I’m on another group and a woman has been told she should report her ex as he is on an app saying he doesn’t have children (she has a child with him that he doesn’t see) would you report your ex if you saw them on an app lying about something like this? Or their age? Name?... am I wrong for thinking she should just move on and leave it? Lots of women put on apps that they don’t have kids when they do.

Are they a child?
are you their parent ?

they are adults if they want to lie that’s down to them

Do many people tell the truth. I met a lady on a dating app who lied about her age, she claimed to be 7 years younger than she was. We got on well and have now been married for 18 years,

People lie unless they are illegal let them get on with it

Exactly, if he doesn’t see the kid I can see why he’s not put on that he hasnt, I’m sure if he did she would then be ranting that he puts up he has a child even though he doesn’t bother to see them 🤦🏻

Practically all women on dating apps lie about their looks with excessive makeup, photo filters and higher up camera angles.

I split up with my stbxh in May as I found him on a dating app saying he was divorced, we were still very. much married then. I suspect there are many many people out there who lie because they can. How on earth could that be policed? The cynic in me now thinks its best to think they are lying to begin with.

Funnily enough when I met him (on a dating app) he had lied about his age stating he was 5 years younger than he was. I should have seen the big red flag, sadly I didnt.

How is putting your best picture on lying?

Nothing wrong with a recent photo of you looking dressed up and at your best. But there are an awful lot of photos that are several years old or have quite clearly been 'washed' through several filters.

coolmaker · 24/07/2022 20:32

@flashpaper the filter part isn't exactly honest! The rest is fine. I can make a photo unrecognisable with filters these days

She needs to get a life. Seriously he’s her ex. And regardless of his not seeing his children she needs to stop involving herself in his life.

Most people lie on these apps, from their job to their age to their picture and the list goes on.

Hell most people lie in some way or other on mn.

flashpaper · 24/07/2022 21:18

I think to suggest only women put older, more flattering, filtered pictures on their profile is a bit silly.
