Going back to him...if so, how?!

After some advice from wise mumsnetters on a man. We'll call him Geoff.

I dated Geoff for a few months, but ended it about six months ago as I wasn't really keen on getting into a long term relationship at the time. Fast forward, he messaged a few months later if I wanted to hang out again, but alas I was seeing someone else.

Recently I have been thinking a lot about Geoff, and can't shake the thought that we should give it a proper go.

Firstly, do you think he would be really put off me coming back to him? (I know he's single).

If not, how do I ask him. A simple whatsapp?

I wouldn't go there. If you'd liked him enough at the time, you would have stayed with him.

Why not send "get Geoff fancy an evening summertime drink in a pretty pub garden sometime?"

I wouldn't explain anything else on text if he asks "why now?" Reply "happy to answer all your questions over a drink"

Just give him a text and see if he fancies meeting up. If not you know it's too late and if yes then great, you can chat about serious stuff later!

I agree with @HollowTalk if Geoff was that great you'd have overcome whatever issue last time. I think something else is at play to make you think of him he was probably the best of an average bunch and this is making you view him more favourably with a touch of the rose tinteds
