Attracted to women after having kids

Why do you think so many women find themselves attracted to other women/realising they're gay/bisexual after long-term relationships or marriage and having children with a man? I know several people who have considered them straight but later (always in the case of women I know, after having children) realise they're not into men anymore. Not only friends my own age but also a couple of their mothers, too, who were married to their dads when we were kids but now dating or remarried to a woman.

I read about this on Mumsnet a lot too.

Do you think this is as common among men as it is with women? Do you think it's because we are just more open these days, that women are considering things that they didn't before? Do you think that in the past when homosexuality was less accepted, women still felt this way but just didn't say anything?

I am really interested in this, just wondering what you all think or if you have experienced this?

I've felt attracted to some women since my children have been born. My love and respect for women has multiplied since having children and I think as you age, you become attracted to people for their worth as opposed to looks like when you're younger.

My respect and value towards men has diclined since having children. I have many selfish, self-serving men around me though. I think if I were surrounded by more selfless men, I'd feel more attracted to them, but I can't unsee what I've seen in men on the whole since having my children.
