Reddit and notifications

I'm not sure if anyone uses Reddit much as I don't use it but a few days ago my H had a notification pop up on his phone when it was on charge saying 'Reddit- tinder' -I was a bit gobsmacked , but I know Reddit is mainly forums- ok, I admit I clicked on it and it just looked like a sleazy conversation between 2 people- like a marketing thing. I just mentally thought it was something and nothing but it has played on my mind- do Reddit sound out notifications that have no relevance to what people are on? I do know he had the app and now he suddenly doesn't have it and ok it's just a forum 'about' Tinder as far as I can see, but it still felt off to me.

I follow the tinder sub too as it is utterly ridiculous.

It's mostly poking fun at stupid tinder profiles. No actual dating going on.
