Am I falling for someone or is it just a bug?

Met someone on OLD about a month ago. Chat was surprisingly efforttless and fun. Soon arranged a date. That went well too, and by the end we fancied each other rotten. Second date arranged. Also fun - we kissed and, unplanned, ended up DTD. Third date. Still good, yadda yadda. Agreed to go exclusive so we can focus on each other and give it a chance to develop. We're, slowly, opening up about having feelings for each other.

Fourth date in a couple of days. I'm now noticing I can't concentrate at work and feel nauseous quite often. Is this me falling for this person or just a bug? I divorced five years ago and have dated a bit, but no-one went beyond the first date before this person. I was in a decade-long marriage before that. So the last time I "fell" for someone I was in my twenties (and I'd known them a while beforehand as opposed to it being a complete stranger). I'm in my forties now, and a bit less starry-eyed following the divorce.

So, is this normal? Does it indicate something's really happening with this person? It feels a bit unreal to be feeling - for want of a better word - a bit "love sick" in middle age. It's like my hormones have gone all over the shop. What's going on?

It is probably infatuation. It’s lasts a few months then fades off and love starts to take over. Enjoy it!

Just under two weeks ago. Did first round but not second after we talked about it (I was tested after my divorce (all clear) and not slept with anyone since then - my partner similar). I'm male so no risk I'm pregnant!

I’ve just gone through this with the guy I’m dating. The last 4 months have been a complete whirlwind on day dreaming, anxiety, feeling sick, excited, adrenaline, disturbed sleep etc. at 5 months it’s wearing off now and it’s becoming deeper and more meaningful and im
starting to see him in his real light, not through the infatuated glasses. I am definitely falling in love with him now 😊

It's probably butterflies - they make me feel queasy too.
