I have been on here since 2009 ish and have name changed several times (mainly to stop my ex stalking me!). I just did a search on the old user name I had when I went through a horrendous breakup (I occasionally do that to remind myself just how awful it was as I often gaslight myself into thinking it wasn't 'that bad') and I just want to say Thank-you to the MN collective whose wise (and mostly) kind advice helped me break free, work with women's aid, and generally make a better life for me and my kids - this was about 6 years ago but I was so low and lost and it just reminded me how far I've come and how much some of the kind posters on this site helped me through such a dark time.
I just wanted to put it out there. So to all of you who helped - Thankyou. X
