The word "Weird"

Been married 26 yrs, we had our ups and downs like any other couple.
We were having sex the other night and my husband got the heel of his foot and move my leg over onto his...However, in the process he was rough on doing it and really hurt the back of my calf. I explained he had hurt me by saying "Gosh, that was rough" but I did mean anything nasty by it.I rolled over to my side because he had hurt my leg. He called me "Weird", "Your just weird"...I asked why he called me weird and he told me to shut-up and to stop crying...By then, I was really upset! The next morning I had words and told him to leave me alone and how much he had upset me...If you were in that situation how would have you reacted ??

I would have said something if what he was doing was hurting me - it would be strange not to. Does he have form for dismissing your feelings?

Are you minimising, here, the fact that he often dismisses your feelings and it makes you upset, which he dismisses or is angry about?

He's very dismissive and didn't give a shit about hurting you? He's horrible.

It's an expression I hear a lot in people in their 20's when anyone does anything that gets pulled up- the response seems always to be "you're really weird" and it's not nice. It's a way of making the problem yours when actually they should be apologetic. It's another defective technique and should be addressed when used if some has hurt you, even accidentally.
