Tinder account blocked and needs verification

I’m a bit of an online dating novice and downloaded tinder a couple of days ago. I’ve got a few matches (7 ish) and about 5 messages from guys, I replied to a couple. Just hi how are you stuff, nothing bad. I went to log in just now and it’s saying my account is blocked due to recent activity and needs verification, and asked me to send them some selfies. Has this happened to anyone before and is it safe to send them selfies-not sure I want to. I’m in my twenties and fairly attractive but nothing amazing I used a subtle filter on one of my pics but the rest were natural and normal so think it’s unlikely I’ve been reported for being a catfish.

I wouldn't send them anything. Sounds like a scam.

Short of deleting that account and creating a new one, I can't offer any way forward I'm afraid as I no longer bother with the apps.

I would not respond as it’s a scam. Twitter would not request selfies.

Yes they verify with selfies precisely to stop cat fishing. They link the selfies with the pics you have put on your profile to make sure you photos are really of you.

If you delete your account and try toset up another with the same mobile number it won't let you. You need to use a different number or wait 3 months.

Similar thing happened with me when I was on Pof. I think it was suspected as being a fake account, some of my pictures were professional modelling shots of me and men had asked me were they downloaded images off the Internet. I can't remember how I got it sorted but I remember having to repeatedly email them and ended up making another account and changing my photos.

It's funny because they ban us and not the bots and fake profiles over the place.

They ban for no reason at all. However, I managed to bypass the ban using the Dating Zest service. It really worth it. I've used new photos and new apple ID.

Even funny part is matches are going stronger then previously.
