How should love really feel?

More specifically, love?
Is every kind of love that fire in your belly, passionate, intense feeling, or does it sometimes leave you feeling calm and content?
Do you always know from the beginning, love at first sight kind of love or can it be a grower and something you build?
I ask because I think I have experienced both kind - my ex was the first ukind of love I described - wild, passionate intense love, but that ended up in a disaster!
The guy im with now I feel I have something good with, and feeling strongly for, and I do feel I'm falling for him but it has definitely wasn't as immediate as with my ex. it just seems so strange to me how different each kinds of people / experiences I am having - it makes me wonder is it really love I am feeling this time? Should I be having that fire burning passion like I did with my ex? Or was that just because we ended up being so toxic. I know I shouldn't compare the two but it's hard not to.
