Fuck fuck fuck! Newish relationship( 6 months) but we've known each other since childhood. Live in a small village and went to school together/been friends since we were 5. (Both mid 40's now)
I've had a crappy time of late. Serious illness, long term partner left last year with no warning. I needed help with day to day things and me and 'friend' kinda fell together as he was around a lot.
I've been so happy about this. I always fancied him but never told him, turned out he felt the same. The timing was just never right and we were never single at the same time and neither of us are the cheating type (so I thought!)
Fast forward to this morning. I've had to have some major surgery and he has took some time off and came to stay with me to help whist I'm recovering. I'm on total bestest for at least 4 weeks and another 8 weeks of taking things VERY SLOWLY.
Laid in my bed and he's asleep downstairs.6.30am an alarm is going off and he has left his electronic device at the side of my bed. Rolls over to turn it off and notifications on screen from FB dating saying he has new matches. I'm gutted! We had just gone public with our relationship last week! He's fast asleep downstairs and up here absolutely raging!
He pursued me! He offered to take time off and look after me and help out. I'm too bloody ill to deal with this right now. I feel like a right mug.
It's an old device, not his mobile (that's with him downstairs) and he doesn't really use FB as a rule. Last thing he posted was over a year ago... I can't believe he would do this. What do I do?
The device is locked so I can't even investigate further to be sure.
I've been royally fucked over last couple of years by my alcoholic drug addicted ex cocklodger so I'm on high alert for red flags and I thought this was perfect. I real love story in the making, that I was finally going to find my happy ending.
But now this. I swear I'm going to hide under a rock from now on and spend the rest of my days alone. ðŸ˜
