Lost my confidence

I have lost my confidence since lockdown. During lockdown I put on a stone and did not interact much with men. Now whenever I fancy someone I struggle to make eye contact when they speak to me. They then think they have done something wrong or I am not interested. I just don't want to miss out on great men after losing my confidence.

Shy people who struggle to make eye contact find partners. Don't worry about changing yourself. Your ideal partner will be someone who fits with who you are now, not who you wish you were.

If you wish you weighed less, you can sort that out over the next few months.

Don't give yourself a hard time, or catastrophise. Lots of people gained weight and lost confidence in lockdown. It's ok.

I agree that a lot of people lost confidence over lockdown!

As for the weight gain, a stone isn't a lot and would be easy to rectify. Losing the stone wouldn't make you more attractive to men but it might give you back a sense of control in your life which would, in turn, go some way to restoring your confidence.
